Georgia will play 30 games against NCAA Tournament teams from last season including home contests against Georgia Tech, LSU, Arkansas, Florida and Vanderbilt and a road series at Arizona as its 2009 baseball schedule was released Friday.

"We have some good non-conference games, but it's not as challenging as it's been in years past," head coach David Perno said. "We are very much excited about the trip to Arizona, and we are looking forward to navigating through a tough SEC schedule."

Southeastern Conference teams coming to Foley Field in 2009 include Mississippi State (March 20-22), LSU (April 3-5), Arkansas (April 17-19), Florida (May 1-3) and Vanderbilt (May 8-10).

The defending SEC champion Bulldogs open league play on the road at Alabama March 13-15. Other conference road series include Tennessee (March 27-29), Kentucky (April 10-12), Ole Miss (April 24-26) and South Carolina (May 14-16).

Georgia will play 33 games at Foley Field including a season-opening series against Youngstown State Feb. 20-22 in addition to other non-conference games against Presbyterian (Feb. 24-25), Wofford (March 4), Quinnipiac (March 6-8), Lemoyne (March 10-11), Wright State (March 24), Winthrop (April 7-8), Kennesaw State (April 21) and Jacksonville State (April 29).

The Bulldogs will have annual home-and-home tilts against Clemson (March 31 & April 1) and Georgia Tech (March 25 & April 14), and the final game of the series with the Yellow Jackets will be May 12 at Turner Field. The Bulldogs also have non-conference road trips to Pac-10 power Arizona (Feb. 27-March 1), Georgia State (March 18) and Jacksonville State (April 22).

For the 12th straight year the SEC Baseball Tournament returns to Regions Park in Hoover, Ala., May 20-24. NCAA Regionals will be held on campus sites May 29-June 1 prior to Super Regionals June 5-8 and the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., June 13-24.

The Bulldogs’ seven-game Fall World Series is scheduled for Oct. 20-22, 24 and 26-28 at Foley Field.
