One More Game for Ellerbe

From UGA Athletics...

University of Georgia linebacker Dannell Ellerbe will partake in the 84th East-West Shrine Game this Saturday in Houston.

Ellerbe, a native of Hamlet, N.C., accepted an invitation to play for the East team in the game, which is scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m. EST at the University of Houston's Robertson Stadium and will be televised on ESPN2. Players are currently in Houston practicing for the game.

The 6-1, 243 pound Ellerbe graduated from UGA in December with a degree in Housing before helping the Bulldogs defeat No. 19 Michigan State in the 2009 Capital One Bowl. During his Bulldog career, Ellerbe played in 43 games making 20 starts and tallied 148 tackles including 21.0 for loss to go along with 28 quarterback hurries. As a junior in 2007, Ellerbe led the Bulldogs with 93 stops and was named a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection by the Associated Press, the SEC Coaches and Rivals.com. This past season, he missed three games due to injury and finished with 33 tackles.
