The Marks on McGarity

Spoke briefly to Mark Richt and Mark Fox about their new boss. Neither coach had met Greg McGarity before today.

Richt said McGarity has "everything you could hope for" in a hire.

“I just know that everybody that’s met him and everybody associated with him is very, very excited to get him, and that he’s here. That’s a good sign,” Richt said.

Fox took note that Florida has become a national basketball power while McGarity was there.

“He obviously has been at an institution where basketball and football have co-existed at a very high level. So I think that’s important,” Fox said.
