In his teleconference Sunday night, Mark Richt gave the heads up on Georgia's injury situation heading into the bowl game. Here's a quick rundown...
Quintin Banks -- Richt said the team had hoped Banks would be able to play in the bowl game, but it's not looking like that will happen. Banks has missed all but one game this season with various injuries.
Darryl Gamble -- Gamble broke his leg against Georgia Tech and will not play in the bowl game.
Tripp Chandler -- Chandler has been battling myriad injuries this year, but the latest is a knee problem that has limited him during each of Georgia's final two games. Chandler is likely to play -- particularly since it will be his final game for Georgia -- but Richt said he will not practice until the team gets to Orlando after Christmas.
Brannan Southerland -- This was news to most of the media, but Richt said Southerland will not practice until the Bulldogs arrive in Orlando either. Apparently Brannan is suffering from patella tendonitis in his left knee that is not related to the foot injury that required two surgeries during the offseason and kept him out of action through Georgia's first five games of the season. The injury will not require surgery, but will require rest, thus the reduced practice schedule prior to arriving in Orlando.
