It won't come as a big shock, as it has been suspected for a few weeks now, but Mark Richt announced Thursday long snapper Jeff Henson will not return to the team.
Henson was suspended indefinitely last month after a second alcohol-related arrest in the past year. Although he was cleared by the university's judiciary committee, but Richt decided not to bring him back to the team. Senior Bo Fowler has replaced Henson as the starting snapper and has done a nice job through three games.
Baldwin was involved in a bar fight the same night as Henson's arrest and was also suspended indefinitely. He required treatment at St. Mary's Hospital after the fight in which teammate Marcus Dowtin was also injured. Darius Dewberry was also suspended for damaging hospital property that night.
"Jeffrey will not be returning," Richt said. "I'm still working on Donavon. I'm getting really close, really, really close."
