Fox Adds Pearson to Staff

Sometimes the rumors are true.

The AJC reports that Georgia has officially hired former Alabama assistant Philip Pearson to join Mark Fox's new staff in Athens. Pearson finished out the 2008-09 season as Alabama's interim head coach before the school hired Anthony Grant last month.

Pearson is the second confirmed assistant for Fox, who also brought Kwanza Johnson with him from Nevada.
