Leslie to test the NBA waters

Travis Leslie is indeed entering the NBA draft, but he's not closing the door on a return to Georgia.

The Georgia junior will not sign with an agent, preserving the right to come back for his senior year. Leslie has until May 8 to pull his name from the draft.

"Travis has exercised his right to 'test the waters' as a junior," head coach Mark Fox said in a statement. "We will help him manage that process in a timely manner."

Aran Smith, the president of NBAdraft.net, said scouts have mixed impressions of Leslie, a 6-foot-4 swingman.

"Leslie is probably the most explosive athlete in all of college basketball. He showed some development as the season progressed but remains a bubble first rounder at best. Scouts aren't sure he has the feel for the game or offensive skills and consider him to be more athlete than basketball player at this point. He could sneak into the late first round as all it takes is one team to like you, as they say. However at 6'4, he is more likely to be a second rounder this year according to scouts."
