Monday Links (11/24)

Well, it's Day 1 of the Kevin Kolb era for Eagles fans. It's a time of reflection, a time of confusion, and a time for me to update my top five most hated people in the country list.

1.) Andy Reid

2.) Chris Berman

3.) A certain arrogant yet utterly unqualified newspaper editor in a certain town in a certain southwestern region of Georgia north of Tifton and east of Columbus who in the interest of professionalism will remain unnamed.

4.) Skip Bayless

5.) The "Can you hear me now" guy from the Verizon commercials

Man, you just know that Verizon guy tries to get in to the really popular clubs around L.A. and then when he can't, he pulls the "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Verizon guy!" card. He's so smug. Makes me so angry.

Anyway, for all of you who have spent much of November complaining about one of your coaches -- whether it be Richt or Willie or Bobo -- I implore you to imagine life as an Eagles fan where not only are you forced to watch your moron of a head coach make one insanely shortsighted and idiotic decision after another, but the next day, every major media outlet talks about what a great coach he is. Only 80 more days until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training.

On to the links...

-- Johnathan Heeter has a great piece in the Telegraph on Georgia recruit Abry Jones.

-- Lucid Idiocy gives some props to Mo Massaquoi, who hasn't exactly grabbed all the headlines this season next to A.J. Green's big numbers, but has quietly had by far the best year of his career.

-- Joe Rexrode of the Lansing State Journal blogs that Michigan State should want no part of a bowl game against Georgia.

-- Mark Weiszer has a story on Michael Moore's body art .

-- Interesting story in the Rome News-Tribune about how Georgia's early kickoffs this season have hurt local businesses.

-- Scott Gunter at the Newnan Times Herald (Helloooo Newnan!) has a column on Georgia's lack of discipline.

-- This week's Notre Dame game was a tribute to both my football allegiances: First, Greg Robinson finally managed to win a game at Syracuse, and then the Notre Dame fans did their best impression of Eagles fans.

-- Anthony Dasher gives you the basics on tonight's Georgia-Santa Clara basketball game.

I was going to challenge your comment, but the ref just told me that this was an unchallangeable post. I'll get that red flag out there sometime!

Man, I'm slow this morning. Still, I like Newman better!
