Happy Thursday, folks. I won't spoil anything for you, but if you have DirecTV, I hope you caught the premier of "Friday Night Lights" last night -- by far the best show on TV that no one seems to be watching. If not, however, here are some other football stories to fill your morning...
-- Maybe there's nothing to this at all, but were you aware that, in the 11 games since the on-field celebration at Florida, Georgia has been penalized at nearly twice the rate as it had been the 11 games before? In their last 11 games, the Dawgs have racked up at least 70 penalty yards 10 times. In the 11 games before it -- just once. Read into it what you will, but I have a story with a few more details in today's Ledger-Enquirer and Telegraph.
-- The Athens Banner-Herald writes that A.J. Green has a chance to become one of Georgia's great receivers.
-- Bill King at the Junkyard Blawg echoes a familiar sentiment -- the coaching has been lackluster for Georgia this season.
-- The AJC's Tim Tucker wonders which game is bigger -- Tennessee or Vandy? Now that's a question I bet no one expected to be asked at the beginning of the season. Phil Fulmer has to have some interns working at Kinkos 24/7 padding his resume.
-- 'Bama's big win over Georgia has made the Tide a betting favorite, according to Covers. At -16.5 against a completely unproven Kentucky team, I'd line up to take that bet, too.
-- The Chattanooga Times Free Press's David Paschall writes that Alabama is doing a lot more recruiting in Georgia.
-- A Notre Dame fan gives the Georgia faithful some props, reports David Ching.
-- Urban Meyer has support in hating the new clock rules, according to Get the Picture.
-- A study shows that UGA is among the top 10 colleges in the nation in sexual health. That's good to know.
-- Most people go their entire lives dreaming of doing something great but never find the right direction. Not the folks who came up with this idea. (Ladies and gentlemen, you are such a wonderful crowd, we'd like to play a little tune for you. It's one of my personal favorites and I'd like to dedicate it to a young man who doesn't think he's seen anything good today - Cameron Frye, this one's for you.)
-- Poor Travis Henry. He's probably just trying to find a way to feed his nine illegitimate kids.
-- And finally, for any fans of "The Office" -- a little something to get you excited for tonight's episode.

Isn't the VP Debate on NBC tonight instead of The Office?
Argh! You're right!!! Eh, my night is ruined. (As if the Cubs weren't already going to ruin it.)
