Sunday Notes (11/2)

Couple of quick notes:

-- Saturday's game will be on Raycom, kickoff set for 12:30.

-- Richt said there were no major injuries to report. He said both Dannell Ellerbe and Tripp Chandler came through the game healthy, and said Darius Dewberry (hip flexor) and Jeremy Lomax (shoulder contusion) are both day to day.

-- Richt reiterated his confidence in kicker Blair Walsh following the two missed field goals -- both of which were from a makable distance. It was basically the same response he gave two weeks ago after Walsh missed two against Tennessee (he's hitting the ball well, doesn't have the "yips"), so it sounds like fans shouldn't expect a change there any time soon.

Beyond that, it's been a long weekend, and I'm still not quite back to Athens yet (though Macon is lovely this time of year). So I don't have too much more to post before tomorrow, but I'll leave you with a few quotes from players about where they go from here following the loss.

Tripp Chandler:

"There's nothing we can do about this one now. All we can do now is try to right the ship and get ready for (Kentucky)."

"We just made some key mistakes at bad moments. I thought we played a good game, but we just didn't execute when we needed to. It's just us making mistakes at the worst possible moment."

Clint Boling:

"It's tough knowing that we don't control our own destiny, but the only thing we can really control now is how we come out and play against Kentucky next week."

Matthew Stafford:

"I think we've had some tough breaks here and there with some injuries, but that's no excuse. That can happen to anybody. We got beat (Saturday) but nobody's going to hang their head."

Mark Richt:

"You're always going to be critiquing what you do. We do that ever week. It's just part of the game. You have to review film. The film doesn't lie. You watch what happened, and you make judgments on how well players are playing, how much they understand, what kind of effort they're giving and do we need to make any changes."

"Until the Eastern Division is mathematically impossible to win, we're still going to be fighting for that. I also said that it's highly unlikely Florida would lose two in a row, but they would have to for us to still be in it. It's not likely, but it's mathematically possible. That goal is still a possibility, so we're not going to say it's over."

"Our main goal has got to be to get back in the win column. That's it. You can say what you want, but you've got to win, and that's what we're going to do."

I dont know how close you are with the team or if you even interact with them at all but if you do please do us all a favor. We need someone on this team to step up and show some pride. We as fans dont care if were winning or lossing we want our players or atleast a few of them to act like they are proud to be a GEORGIA BULLDOG. Act like they wanna be ON this team instead of just playing on it. We as fans are tired of just taking a kick to groin. OUR TEAM NEEDS AN ATTITUDE CHANGE. LOOSING IS NOT OK!!!!!!!!!!

Would anyway else like to contribute to a fund for cloning David Pollack, DJ Shockley, David Greene, Odell Thurman*, Thomas Davis, and Brian Van Gorder?

I'm sure we can find a place to accommodate us in North Korea or a former Soviet block country.

* W/ the obvious behavior mods
