-- So, the national championship isn't going to happen. The SEC East isn't likely either. But I put together a list of team and individual goals that still could happen for this year's Bulldogs.
-- Regardless of how upset you might be about the two losses this season, one thing Dawgs fans should be proud of is the play of senior Mohamed Massaquoi, who has easily been the hardest working guy on offense for Georgia, as the Chattanooga Times Free Press writes.
-- David Paschall also writes about Matthew Stafford's inability to lead Georgia to an SEC title.
-- The AJC's Chip Towers has a great blog today in which he poses questions from readers to Georgia players.
-- Get the Picture gives some thoughts on this week's game against Kentucky, saying he hopes for a blowout. Talking to Jeremy Lomax this week, I wouldn't tell Blutarski to hold his breath. "They're going to be hungry," Lomax said. "I'm going to tell you now, it's not going to be a blowout."
-- The Lexington Herald-Leader writes that UK will concentrate on stopping Knowshon. I've heard the exact same thing from Stafford and A.J. Green -- so don't be surprised to see the deep ball early and often this week. (NOTE: If you go to the H-L's main sports page, there are four basketball stories before the first football story. Which reminds me...)
-- Haven't started talking too much hoops yet, but Anthony Dasher writes about one of the biggest questions facing UGA this season: How healthy is Trey Thompkins?
-- Jim Donnan chats with the Banner-Herald about the BCS bowls.
-- The Dawg-gone Blog provides Barack Obama's plan for fixing the UGA defense.
-- A Chestatee linebacker hasn't wavered in his decision to come to Gerogia, says the AJC's Michael Carvell.
-- The New York Times has a story on the coach from MTV's "Two-a-Days" who's now working at Colquitt County.

David, thanks for running a great blog...I check it every day!
My problem with this season seems to be this whole "aw shucks, we'll get 'em next time" attitude. I wish our guys would be mad and take it out on Kentucky on Saturday. Unfortunately I think Kentucky is going into this game thinking they can steal one instead of being worried about facing a fired-up UGA squad.
DNG -- I completely agree, and it's a sentiment I've heard more than a few times. It's sort of a "well, you can't win 'em all" mentality, when in fact, that's exactly what you're supposed to do.
I will say this though: There may be a distinct difference between the emotions inside the locker room and what the players and coaches say to the media. Of course, if all fans have to go by is the quotes in the newspaper and the play on the field, it's hard not to wonder if there is some passion lacking from this team.
THe team can't expect us as fans to continue to stay fired up and cheer them on when they cannot seem to do the same on the field.
We've heard all season how importan fan support is to them and how excited they are to see us pack the stands and scream for 3 and a half hours.
Well, it works both ways Coach Richt. Show some emotion, show us that you give a crap, show us that it hurts & kills you to lose & get humiliated by your biggest rival. In other words, GIVE US SOMETHING TO GET BEHIND AND A REASON TO KEEP CHEERING YOU ON!!!
I can't get behind a team with a defeatist attitude and a loser's mantra!
