Player scrimmage notes

The media wasn't allowed into Tuesday's scrimmage, but based on brief talks with players made available, and pending Mark Richt's news conference, here's what we can glean:

- QB Aaron Murray had a solid outing. The redshirt freshman told us he threw two touchdown passes, both of the long variety and both to A.J. Green.

"I felt more comfortable in the pocket today," Murray said.

- S Alec Ogletree had the interception on Murray.

- Tailbacks Caleb King and Washaun Ealey each had along run.

"Two huge runs," Murray said. "I mean there were some big holes the offensive line gave them. They hit them and were gone."

- LB Darryl Gamble said the defense had about eight total sacks, half of them by Gamble himself.

- Akeem Hebron, who hasn't been much in the conversation at linebacker, had a good scrimmage too.

All sounds encouraging. I know it's 1's vs. 2's but i dont remember many stats like this in the recent past. Particularly on both sides of the ball. Wish we did some more 1's vs 1's, at least occasionally.

Richt's quote about 1's dominating 2's I saw from a tweet has not been the norm.

Thanks for the quick update after practice. Ready to hear more when you get it all put together!

GATA DAWGS!

what did King and Ealey run "along?"
