News out of Boulder

Dan Hawkins is out as the head coach at Colorado, according to a television report in Denver.

If it's true, and the firing is immediate, that means Hawkins' final win in his five years at Colorado will have been against Georgia.

The Buffaloes were 3-1 after holding on to beat the Bulldogs, 29-27, on Oct. 2. They dropped their next five, with the worst one coming Saturday: The Buffs blew a 28-point fourth quarter lead and lost at Kansas, 52-45.

The Hawkins news might be of interest to Georgia and SEC fans for another reason: LSU head coach Les Miles has been linked to the job because of his time as a Colorado assistant in the 1980s.

Too bad we havent let Mark Richt go already. Maybe after Auburn kicks our A#@ thenmany in Dawg nation will finally wake up. But I doubt it. Next year it will be more of the same.

With fans like Anon 12:01, why would any bowl want UGA? We have become the worst CFB fans in the country in 3-4 short years. What a bunch of whiney, bed-wetters! I think I liked it better when Goff was HC, hated losing but better to have classy fans than immature brats that feel entitled. Sunshine fans like the Braves had when they became winners. Makes me wonder, are they really Dag fans? Or could they be tekkies, or gayturds trying to make us look bad? Never know on the net, but you can be sure this guy is a loser.

Wow, you're a loser if you think the head coach should be replaced. Since when are people not allowed to have a differing opinion.

I actually agree with anon 1201, it is time for Richt to go (and Bobo and Van H). Yes 10 years is long enough to get the job done. FL has two, LSU two, Bama one in the last 10 years.

10-2 is not acceptable year in and year out - period. 8-5 followed by 6-6 means goodbye Mr. Richt. You are a great person but when it comes to head coaching you get a 7 out of 10.
