Pregame notes (updated with dress list)

11:58 a.m.: Almost game time. Georgia just took the field, with a flag-bearer waving the Stars and Stripes leading the way. A nice gesture on this day.

South Carolina is in all-garnet, as it was last week.

Here we go.

11:51 a.m.: As expected, the stands are about three-quarters full right now. It's a sellout, but it may take a bit for everyone to get in, what with all the traffic and noon start.

They just did the invocation, national anthem and alma mater. (They ask everyone to stay standing during the alma mater, but all responsible journalists sit.)

11:41 a.m.: They're saying there's a 20 percent chance of rain by the time the game ends. That's a lot of projection, but we'll hope it's true. Especially those of us who might have to be on the field near the end of the game, when, if history is any guide in this rivalry, the game will be decided.

11:10 a.m.: Just spoke briefly with Greg McGarity, who declined comment on the A.J. Green matter. The Georgia athletics director hasn't heard when an appeal will be heard.

Alec Ogletree made the trip and is on the dress list. The freshman safety was suspended last week after his arrest.

Trinton Sturdivant is dressed.

LB Richard Samuel is not dressed. He's probably out another game or two, and then it becomes a matter of whether they get a medical redshirt for him.

Freshman receiver Michael Bennett is dressed. He's still a redshirt candidate, but Mark Richt and staff have been impressed with him, so this shows it might still be 50-50, especially with Green out three more games.

Ken Malcome did make the trip. But the freshman is probably still not going to play unless the Bulldogs really need him, as they try to preserve his redshirt.

Fourth-string tight end Arthur Lynch did not make the trip. Redshirting is moving from an option to a probability with him at this point. Derek Richt, a walk-on TE, is on the trip.

Other notable freshmen not making the trip: safety Marc Deas, defensive end Dexter Morant, linebacker Demetre Baker, offensive lineman Kenarious Gates,

10:30 a.m.: You are looking live, well at least I am, at Williams-Brice Stadium. Special-teamers and some others are on the field warming up, and fans are tailgating, sitting in traffic or sleeping off their hangovers.

I'll update this space until gametime, at which point I'll start the pregame blog. A few notes:

- Here's a link to my pregame breakdown in today's paper.

Yes, I did pick Georgia, 23-20, but not with much confidence. I still consider this a coin flip, and I went with Georgia based on history.

- Akeem Dent could be in for a big game. He's wearing No. 31 today to honor Quintin Banks, which Kris Durham did last week. The result was a huge game for Durham.

- Two things I spotted on the walk in to the stadium: A limo for the Whitney Hotel (I didn't notice if any Gamecock players were inside) and Jadeveon Clowney, the nation's No. 1 recruit. Clowney, a defensive end, is on a visit to South Carolina this weekend.
