Happy Friday, folks. Here are a few links to get you through the final few hours of your work week.
Rivals has Georgia ranked eighth in its most recent ranking update of 2009 recruiting classes. Meanwhile, the AJC's Michael Carvell updates us on Georgia's tight end recruits.
Apparently musician Ryan Parker has decided to chime in with a song making fun of the Bulldogs' recent legal woes. I suppose it's relatively creative, but he's no Wierd Al. (No one will ever top "I Lost on Jeopardy" or "Like a Surgeon.")
Scott Michaux of the Augusta Chronicle has an interesting piece about Bubba Watson returning to UGA for his diploma.
The AJC's Chip Towers wonders if there are any All-America candidates on defense this year. Towers also has notes on Georgia's injury updates and two former players .
I hesitate to link to this becase I think it simply illustrates how ridiculous over-the-top college football fans and over-the-top political nut jobs can be, but never say I don't take a moment to placate my Republican readers with this blog that compares Georgia's supposedly undeserved hype with Barack Obama's supposedly undeserved hype.
ESPN.com's Ted Miller offers Arizona State's best- and worst-case scenarios for the season, including a breakdown of the Sun Devils' game against Georgia.
Here's a good (and interesting) post from Dawg Sports on the relative difficulty of Georgia's schedule this season.
The Memphis Commercial Appeal has a story on Georgia recruit Jamar Chaney, who turned his career around at Mississippi State.
The Augusta Chronicle wonders if the SI Cover Jinx will dog the Dawgs' season. (Speaking of cover jinxes, EA Sports is offering a free download of an updated cover to its Madden '09 game, which features Brett Favre in a Green Bay uni. The download will give you the more authentic Jets look and includes a programming feature that allows Favre to retire midseason, come back, then demand a trade to Miami.)
