As suspected after yesterday's practice, Charles White will miss the season. Richt announced the injury today after practice. Here's the practice wrap-up, courtesy of the UGA Athletics Dept.

After reviewing film from Thursday's scrimmage at Sanford Stadium, Georgia coach Mark Richt decided the top-ranked Bulldogs needed to scrimmage again Friday.
After Friday's 45-play scrimmage in full pads at the Woodruff Practice Fields, Richt said he feels a lot better about his team, especially their attitude when they got the news before practice that it was time to go in full pads and scrimmage again.
"We needed to play full speed tackle football, and I think we scared ourselves out of playing football Thursday," said Richt. "We threw the pads on again and said we're going to play, and they got excited, and that fired me up. They wanted to compete, and it was a very crisp workout. Today was good medicine for everybody."
Richt added the energy level was very good after the scrimmage too as the Bulldogs practiced for an additional 20 minutes, conducting pass skeleton and more 11-on-11 drills. The scrimmage featured some rare situations that could happen during the season like kicking off from your own 15 and from the 45 due to a penalty, punting after a safety and receiving a punt after a safety.
All the news was not good Friday as Richt announced that redshirt freshman middle linebacker Charles White would miss the season due to an Achilles tendon injury. White, a 6-1, 217-pound native of Columbia, S.C., went down with the injury on Thursday. White was expected to be a key player on special teams and provide depth at middle linebacker this season.
