A day into preseason camp, the injury bug has already bitten Georgia.
Starting cornerback Prince Miller spend Tuesday’s practice with his arm in a sling after injuring his shoulder the day before.
“Unfortunately, Prince Miller laid out for an interception or to knock the ball away and hurt his shoulder (Monday),” head coach Mark Richt said. “It won’t require any surgery, but it’s going to be sore.”
Miller, a junior, started eight games in 2007, finishing the year with 34 tackles and one interception.
Richt said he expected Miller to miss about a week of practice.
Freshman wide receiver A.J. Green also sat out of practice Tuesday after suffering a minor hip injury. Richt said Green could be back Wednesday.
"You can’t slow the whole parade down for the true freshmen," Richt said of Green's injury. "I don’t think he gave out because a lack of conditioning. He is trying to run new routes the way coach wants him to run them. He is probably putting his body through new things, but it was not conditioning."
