No More Suspensions (Hopefully)

From today's opening day of practice:

Mark Richt was ready to talk football Monday, but the first questions out of the gate were all about suspensions.

In the past week, Richt has suspended three players snapper Jeff Henson, safety Donavon Baldwin and linebacker Darius Dewberry but said he didn t expect any additional players to miss time as a result of a troubled weekend for the team.

Baldwin and teammate Marcus Dowtin were both taken to St. Mary s hospital last Saturday morning for injuries suffered in a bar fight that included several other Bulldogs players, but Richt said, barring any new evidence, the current crop of suspensions would be the last.

Everything that I ve been gathering, unless there s something that comes up different from what I ve gotten, I plan on handling in regard to that in house, Richt said. I don t see anybody losing any playing time.

Richt also said he was holding off on a final decision regarding Henson and Baldwin.
We re going to let the dust settle just a little bit to make sure I know exactly what the truth is before I make a final judgment, Richt said.

By the time they're REALLY done handing these out- will there be enough team left to take the field for game one?
